While abstracts on any topic related to IONM are welcome, priority will be given to those that align with the main topic of the course: IONM of Brain Surgery.
Submission Procedure & Guidelines
Submission Procedure
- The first step before submitting an abstract is to create an account on the online submission platform by registering your own username and password.
- These login credentials can also be used for course registration.
- Abstracts must be submitted in English through the official online abstract submission portal.
- Submissions sent by email, fax, or paper copy will not be accepted.
- During submission, please select your preferred topic area. The scientific review committee reserves the right to adjust the selected topic as necessary for the final program structure.
- All abstracts must be submitted no later than the announced closing date. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Abstract Requirements
Your abstract submission must include the following:
- Title: Use sentence case. Do not include company or product names in the title.
- Authors: List authors in the correct order. Each name should include the full first name followed by the family name, omitting academic titles (e.g., Dr., Prof.).
- Affiliations: List department/institution, city, and country, properly indexed to the respective authors.
- Text Body: Structure your abstract clearly into four sections, each labeled:
・OBJECTIVE: Clearly state the background and purpose of the study.
・METHODS: Briefly describe the design and methodology.
・RESULTS: Include key findings with numerical data and, if applicable, statistical significance.
・CONCLUSIONS: Summarize the key implications of the results.
- Funding Source (if applicable)
- References (if applicable), to be cited in-text using parentheses.
- Optional: One figure or one table may be included.
Formatting & Other Rules
- The abstract must be written in clear, grammatically correct English.
- Maximum length: 300 words total (including title, authors, affiliations, references).
- Avoid using abbreviations, except for commonly accepted terms.
- As abstracts will be peer-reviewed anonymously, the text must not contain institutional affiliations.
- The material must be unpublished at the time of submission.
- Only co-authors listed on the abstract are eligible to present.
- Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Review Committee, and selected submissions will be invited for presentation at the ISIN Educational Course 2025.
Important Dates
- Abstract Submission Deadline: August 17th, 2025
The deadline for abstract submission has been extended to August 31, 2025.
- Notification of Acceptance: September 15th, 2025
- Author Pre-registration Deadline: September 30th, 2025 (At least one author of the accepted abstract must complete registration by this date in order for the abstract to be included in the program and proceedings.)
IMPORTANT NOTE: The earlier an author registers, the better. Please note that we cannot guarantee availability of spots for the course, as registration will close once all 200 places are filled. This may happen before the Notification of Acceptance on September 15th and the Author Pre-registration Deadline on September 30th. The closure will be announced on the website.
Presentation Format
- All accepted abstracts will be presented as ePosters.
- With an evaluation by the Scientific Review Committee, the top four will be selected for oral presentation.
Correspondence & Changes
- A confirmation of submission will be sent automatically to your email address.
- Authors may return to the portal and make changes to their abstracts until the submission deadline.
- If you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours, please contact the Secretariat at: isin2025@huddle-inc.jp
- If you wish to withdraw your abstract, please notify the Secretariat in writing by September 15th, 2025.
